In case you missed it, Tuesday was Election Day in New Jersey's ostensibly nonpartisan municipalities.  In two closely watched races, Jersey City's incumbent Mayor Jerramiah Healy cruised to a whopping 52% victory while Peter Cammarano and Dawn Zimmer will face one another in a runoff to determine which of the two will lead Hoboken.

Big win in Ocean, loss in Evesham (4.00 / 1)
Dems lost all 3 seats and control in Evesham with only 13% turnout in town, but got a big win knocking off Carl Block in Ocean County:
A former lieutenant in the township police department ousted long-time Mayor Carl W. Block in the non-partisan municipal election Tuesday.

John McMenamin, 48, received 3,538 votes while Block, mayor since 1983, received 2,622.

If you're scoring on the Adler Congressional futures card, that's a big plus in Ocean and significant blow in Burlco as Evesham is the largest municipality. Incumbents won in Asbury Park and Monmouth Beach.

Evesham (0.00 / 0)
Losing all three in Evesham is a surprise to me. Anybody have any insight on what drove that loss?

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.

If right wing elitism is your thing, vote for Dawn and Scott in November!
