Last week, a bunch of you dropped a nice comment about Blue Jersey in The Fix. That ramps up the likelihood Chris Cillizza'll add us to the Washington Post's state blog roll again. And that helps drive our traffic. Thanks! Not too late ...

So - it's a good time to let you know what else you can do for your homeblog. All easy, but incredibly important.

Advertise - The care and feeding of this blog takes a budget. Individuals can become Blue Star supporters for as little as $5 bucks/month. Rate comments - See the little menu box under all the comments? You can rate there. Click on the little arrow. There are 4 ratings to choose from:

0 Troll (Trusted users only): For intentionally disruptive comments. Very few deserve this, and if 0's pile up, the comment's actually hidden to most readers. Troll-rating somebody you simply disagree with merits a warning, then a banning, so don't.

1 Unproductive: For comments that don't advance the conversation

2 Marginal: Meh

3 Good: Self-explanatory

4 Excellent: Woo hoo!

So. That's it. Except for whatever you have to say. Which you can do in Comments, because you know how to do that now.

Here's how to do that. (4.00 / 1)

Click on the title of the diary. Then, either scroll down the inside right column, or do a search on the word Recommend.

Clicking the Recommend button supports the diary, and helps move it up and get it recognition. A lot of the reader-written diaries that people Recommend get promoted to the front page (the big central column you're reading now) that way.

And while you're there you can also see who else did the same, by clicking the link, Who's Recommended This Diary?

It's not a particularly snappy signature, but here's what I think we need in the next NJ Democratic State Chair.
