This past week, Congressman Andy Kim travelled on a fact-finding mission to Turkey and Afghanistan. Along with several of his colleagues from both parties, he is working to find ways to end this eighteen year conflict. Prior to being elected to Congress in New Jersey’s Third District, Kim served as a civilian advisor to flag officers in Afghanistan and Iraq. He also served as an advisor to President Obama in the White House.
On Saturday, Kim held a Town Hall in Westampton to inform constituents about his findings and actions. In his opening remarks, he gave a historical perspective on how we got to where we are and some of the challenges facing our military and our leaders in the months ahead.
