Malinowski Hosts Shutdown Town Hall – Saturday

There are many ways for members of Congress to show up as the voice of reason against Donald Trump’s government shutdown, on track now to be the longest in American history. Two of our New Jersey freshmen House members, Mikie Sherrill and now Andy Kim, have decided not to collect their paychecks while 800,000 federal workers are unsure of their future, with many unable to pay the bills that keep coming even if their salaries don’t.

And Tom Malinowski was on CNN talking about the President’s actions, referring to Trump’s shutdown for what it is; a tantrum. He’s also asked about two of his House freshman colleagues, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who both made national news this week in very direct comments about President Trump. That video below. Malinowski will also host a public town hall Saturday. Details are below the video. Also below, video from House Energy & Commerce Chair Frank Pallone’s weekly interactive Facebook Live about an hour ago, also discussing Trump’s shutdown and other issues.
