CWA’s Hetty Rosenstein reminds us that just because we haven’t won the war, we should celebrate when we win a battle. One such celebration took place today on the steps of the State House Annex, commemorating the recent defeat of TrumpCare in the U.S. Congress.
The GOP war to give tax breaks to the wealthy on the backs of the health of average Americans is not over. But a group of activists, health care professionals, and elected officials converged in Trenton to celebrate the recent victory and to remind us to continue to work to improve, not gut, the Affordable Care Act. They called upon congress to improve, not defund, outreach efforts, to ensure subsidies to keep the Affordable Care Act affordable, and to stop the GOP push to keep Americans sick and poor.
