With both Phil Murphy and Kim Guadagno now having named their picks for lieutenant governor, the Election Law Enforcement Commission has now laid down the details of the single debate between Democrat Sheila Oliver and Republican Carlos Rendo. Look for a show-down, baybee.
A key issue in the Guv race will be Kim Guadagno’s tenure as the first-in-NJ-history LG under Gov. Chris Christie. Sheila Oliver (ground-breaker herself), Assembly Speaker for part of Guadagno’s time as LG, is well-positioned to ask why Guadagno’s entitled for a job promotion when she squandered her time in the job she already has. Would love to see Rendo’s answer to that. Popcorn.
