Important! Progressive Hunterdon Democrats is postponing their Feb. 22 meeting and asking all allies to join us instead that night at Lance’s Town Hall – and get their early at 6pm if you can, to rally & ensure we all get in.
March 9 – Moral Thursday Rally at Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton. Seating in the Sanctuary is limited to 1000 so you must let us know that you are coming. You will leave charged up, inspired and connected! Doors open at 6 p.m. RSVP here.
March 10 (6-9pm, doors open 5pm) Rev. Barber will give an exclusive Social Justice Workshop in the Logan Family Life Center of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Hackensack. (Parking is available.) You must be registered to attend. (This is the opportunity of a lifetime – do not miss it.) In addition to Reverend Barber’s course, there will be very short workshops on Civil Disobedience, Police and Civil Justice, How to be a Legal Observer for lawyers, and more. Register here.

Tuesday, Feb. 14
On Valentines Day, CD4 voters will ask Rep. Chris Smith for a (Town Hall) date.
At 11 am, local orgs and voters from Smith’s congressional district will deliver a heart, flowers, balloons and a request – hold an open, public Town Hall. This is at Rep. Smith’s Monmouth County Office (map & address). We’re told there’s no public record of Smith holding a Town Hall all meeting like that in the district in his entire 37 years in Congress – despite calls, emails and letters requesting one.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
Join one of the Healthcare vigils outside the NJ offices of GOP congressmen. Here’s video outside Rep. Lance’s Westfield office.
Thursday, Feb. 16
Leaflet the Chamber of Commerce Train – Every year highly paid lobbyists and corporations spend big bucks for the opportunity to have access to NJ’s political establishment. The New Jersey Resistance, led by NJ Citizen Action, will meet the train at every stop in New Jersey and demand that those getting on the train fight for our health care.
