New Jersey doesn’t get polled very often when it comes to general presidential elections because the results are pretty much colored before they are in. But the Washington Post/Survey Monkey folks did a 50 state poll and since New Jersey is one of the 50 states, we’ve got numbers!
In a head to head, Hillary Clinton beats Donald Trump 53% – 38% with a whopping nine percent undecided.
When you throw in third and fourth party options — in this case Gary Johnson of the Libertarians and Jill Stein of the Greens — the numbers change to 49% Clinton, 34% Trump, 8% for Johnson and 3% for Stein. What’s astonishing is that even with the “I hate my party’s candidate” candidates included in the poll there are still 5% of New Jersey voters who haven’t made up their minds.
