This airplane banner greeted Verizon workers at Hamilton as they started their 7:45 am shift, back to work after a 45-day strike against Verizon by CWA and IBEW. Then the plane headed to Livingston. Those two towns saw the first two major rallies in NJ the first morning of the strike April 13. There were picket lines at Verizon Wireless stores in every region of New Jersey until an agreement was reached last weekend. Today 4,800 Verizon workers headed back to work, with ratification of the agreement still to come. Air support courtesy CWA, which represents most of those 4,800.
