Today, Environment New Jersey released their list of endorsements for the upcoming election. While with one exception, these endorsements are for the Assembly candidates, the contested incumbent Burlington County Freeholders also were recognized for their commitment to clean air and water. With the inclusion of Assemblyman Herb Conaway, that gives BurlCo a total of three nods from ENJ.
According to Environment New Jersey’s Director, Doug O’Malley,
“They have fought for the environment, and haven’t been afraid to stand up to Gov. Christie and their own party leaders. Although they face spirited challenges, they have not shied away from standing up for clean air and water, open spaces and clean energy. We need their continued leadership more than ever because we need legislators who will side with the people over the polluters.”
Here’s the complete list:
District 7: Herb Conaway, M.D.
District 14: Dan Benson
District 15: Reed Gusciora
District 27: John McKeon and Mila Jasey
District 38: Tim Eustace and Joe Lagana
Burlington County Freeholders: Aimee Belgard and Joanne Schwartz
Kudo to all of the endorsees!
