The above is the subject line in the senator’s email to me yesterday. He goes on to say, “I know I can always be honest with you. And honestly, summer can be a really difficult time to raise money.” OK I get it, and realize it’s a tough season for soliciting donations.
However, if honesty is so important please avoid the suspense and tell us soon honestly how you will vote on the Iran deal next month. You receive substantial support from forces that oppose the deal while colleague vultures are circling above for the kill. Please continue on your honesty track and let us know honestly the basis of your final decision – why you will vote in favor or against it.
Looking forward to your email on the matter. By the way, saying one is being honest is much over-used and often misleading.
