Christie’s State of the State – A Retrospective

Tomorrow, Governor Christie will once again display his oration and obfuscation skills by delivering the State of the State message. No doubt, he’ll take credit for anything that has improved and will blame others for anything that has not.

I thought it would be interesting to revisit his State of the State message in 2011 – one year after he took office. Besides comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln, Christie laid out an agenda for fixing the state’s ills on the backs of the poor and middle class. This annotated video shows some of the highlights of that address. Has anything really changed in the last four years?

At 11am – before he gets another chance to present his spin – this time presidential spin – we will be out in front of the State House with the State of OUR State:  A People’s Address.
