NJ casts its 14 Electoral votes today

All across the nation today, from Juneau to Tallahassee and Augusta to Honolulu, America’s 538 Electors will meet in their respective state capitals and the District of Columbia to cast their Electoral votes for President and Vice President of the United States.  

NJ’s 14 Electors will be casting their Electoral votes today for Barack Obama and Joe Biden at 3pm in the State Senate chamber in Trenton.   Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, the state’s top election official, will preside, and Chief Justice Stuart Rabner will swear in the electors, with Assemblyman John Wisniewski, D-Middlesex, the state’s Democratic party head, scheduled to give a speech at the largely ceremonial event.
