Chris Christie goes full Jersey Shore

Chris Christie once vetoed a tax credit for MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ and has made a point of criticizing the cast of buffoons for their disreputable behavior down the shore that he doesn’t think reflects well on New Jersey.

But TMZ just released video captured last night of Christie on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, and his behavior doesn’t look that much different, except for the ice cream cone in his hand instead of a beer. It’s unclear what some guy said to Christie, but seriously, you’d think a grownup in his big boy pants could handle himself a little better than this. TMZ:

Gov. Christie (R-NJ) was hangin’ with his family in Seaside Heights … and had just ordered an ice cream cone when a passerby fired off some snide comments about Christie’s policy on education.

Christie got PISSED — and while clutching his cone, shouted back at the guy, “You’re a real big shot … you’re a real big shot shootin’ your mouth off.”

The man shouted back, “Nah, just take care of the teachers!”

Note to media: you can stop asking if he would be VP. If there was even a sliver of a chance previously it is gone now.

Here’s what NJ Governors used to look like:

Feel free to use poetic license. Wish I had access to some video editing software today…..

Whatever happened to proper decorum?  Christie is no role model for the children….Shame on you, Governor Chris Christie!

That this man is the GOVERNOR of the State of New Jersey. He’s not some goon on the street. Where’s his dignity? Or, if he has none, where is the dignity of the office. When Pres. Obama was heckled on the grounds of the White House, he calmly asked the heckler to wait. He called him “sir.” That’s class. But we have this buffoon. Embarrassing.
