Frank Pallone was here this afternoon as a campaign mentor for a 2 hour pull-out session just for the candidates attending the training, a kind of souped-up Q & A designed to help us get to know the people running and figure out what kind of challenges they’re hitting up against as they campaign.
So, Pallone was there as a sounding board. And one of the questions that came up was about message. Keep it issues-focused if you can, he said. Keep it to just 2 or 3 of those. Then he thought about it a little big and he told this story about Rush Holt, who had just left:
Yeah, but there’s my neighbor – neighboring congressman – who
