We didn’t have to wait long to see if Michele Brown, who became a regular fixture in the news during the campaign would be involved. So far, she’s just volunteering according to the Auditor:
Christie’s controversial former aide, Michele Brown, is helping recruit lawyers from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the governor-elect’s administration.
Comella, Christie’s spokeswoman, said Brown is volunteering her time to help with the transition process. Brown declined to comment.
That’s so generous of her to volunteer. For his part, lets remember that Christie has not ruled out hiring her:
“People who have real problems won’t be in the administration. People who have problems that are contrived for attempted political advantage won’t be hurt by that,” Christie said after the election. “That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to be in, but if they’re not in, that won’t be the reason why they’re not.”
We’ll have to see what other involvement she has in the administration in any official capacity.
