Christie spends resources going after Corzine and Daggett in network tv ad

I can’t find the video online anywhere yet, but I’ve seen a commercial twice now that is paid for by the Christie campaign and goes after Governor Corzine and Chris Daggett for taxes, while closing positive on Christie. It was run on ABC before the Oklahoma/Texas game and on NBC before the Notre Dame/USC game yesterday.

I found a few things interesting about the ad. It’s the first time I’ve seen them mention Daggett in their advertising. Prior to this, the RGA had run TV and radio ads targeting Daggett, but nothing directly from the Christie campaign itself. Also of note, the Christie campaign usually sends out a press release and tweet any time they put out an ad on tv or web ad. It’s still not loaded on their Youtube page.

Did anyone else see the ad and what does it say that now Christie is spending his precious media resources not only going after the Governor, but on someone he’s been so dismissive of all along? I’ll try to grab the video if I see it on TV again.

their internal polls match the public ones — Christie is in trouble and Daggett is in double digits. The tax charge is probably the most powerful one they have against Daggett.

But that’s obvious, so I hope someone can come up with more insight.

    Take your pick:

    1. The “poorly run campaign” as the Courier-Post calls it can’t manage to post on the weekend.

    2. They hope that by not posting the ad, journalists won’t notice that they’re afraid of Daggett.

    I’d pick #2, myself.

This guy should get together with Plaxico Burress when it comes to shooting hiumself in the foot.  I just read that Christie wants to loosen (yes, that’s right, loosen) restrictions on travel for NJ government employees to allow them  to receive 100% reimbursement for hotel stays above the government rate.

Is he nuts?  I saw the story on nj.com and I still can’t believe it.  If he really said that, and the Democrats take full advantage as I assume they will, his campaign is finished.  They can hold their election night party at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, the last time a blimp crashed and burned in New Jersey.

    …his campaign is reeling.

Christie lose by at least 3 to 5 points, and   lots more if Corzine has the balls to close as an aggressive progressive and the killer instincts to properly politically eviscerate Christie in the closing weeks.

It helps to have an opponent who is a certifiable hypocritical asshole and to also have lots more money.

Christie has finally figured out that Daggett takes more from him than from Corzine and he’s panicking.   The attacks on Daggett are probably costing him more votes than they are saving him!  Why?  Because making Daggett out to be “as bad as” Corzine motivates people who were merely  inclined to vote Daggett a reason to show up!
